Lead client calls when needed to present performance insights, deliver strategic recommendations, and gather feedback on lead quality and results. Act as a trusted advisor, ensuring social media efforts align with broader marketing objectives.
Performance Tracking & Optimization
Monitor social media performance using analytics and reporting tools to evaluate traffic, engagement, and lead metrics. Use insights to continuously optimize organic and paid strategies, and clearly communicate results and recommendations to internal teams and clients.
Your Professional Experience:
- 5+ years of experience managing social media strategy for B2B brands, preferably in an agency or consulting environment.
- Proven experience driving measurable results from social media, including follower growth, website traffic, and lead generation.
- Hands-on experience planning, launching, and optimizing paid social campaigns on LinkedIn and/or Meta.
- Strong understanding of B2B buyer journeys and how social media supports demand generation and pipeline growth.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Marketing Strategists, content, and creative teams.
- Demonstrated ability to consult with clients, lead strategy calls, and present performance insights and recommendations.
- Proficiency with social media analytics, reporting tools, and ad platform dashboards to inform decision-making.
- Experience managing multiple client accounts and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to translate data and client feedback into clear, actionable strategy adjustments.

A Day in the Life…
Your day often begins by reviewing performance data across client social channels—analyzing follower growth, traffic, lead volume, and paid campaign results on LinkedIn and Meta. Using these insights, you identify trends, opportunities, and areas for optimization to share with the Marketing Strategist, who owns the overall account strategy.
Throughout the day, you collaborate closely with the Marketing Strategist to align social channel recommendations with broader B2B goals. This may include advising on content themes, audience targeting, posting cadence, or paid social testing plans.
When needed, you'll lead or join client calls to walk through social performance, explain results, make strategic recommendations, and gather feedback on lead quality.
While content writers and designers handle social post creation and assets, you ensure that every social effort is purposeful, data-driven, and optimized for results. By the end of the day, they’ve helped refine social strategies, improved campaign performance, and strengthened social media’s role as a measurable growth channel.

No, this is a white-label position in which you will represent yourself as a member of the Market Veep team. All client work is provided post-sale. We handle sales and client acquisition; you focus on delivery and retention.
Of course! Many of our fractional team members balance Market Veep work with other clients, projects, or commitments. In fact, our best-fit fractional team members have other steady sources of work aside from our partnership.
At this time, there are no structured plans to convert fractional team members into full-time employees.
Social Media Strategists are assigned a monthly allotment of hours per client account based on the size and complexity of the client’s social media campaigns. Each client assignment may range from 3 to 16 hours per month. Many of our Social Media Strategists manage multiple clients at once.
Yes, this role may lead or participate in client calls to present social performance, discuss paid and organic strategies, and gather feedback on lead quality or campaign results. Some clients require a quarterly call, while others require weekly meeting participation.
Our Social Media Strategists consult on specific channel strategies to drive engagement and lead generation goals across social media platforms. They collaborate with our Marketing Strategists, who manage the overarching, multichannel strategies for our clients.
